Forum: GratefulDead Subject: See you all in October......

I posted my 1984 Project write-up for 7/22/84 a day early. Now we have a break until October, which brings us Charlotte on 10/5 and the "Show of the Year" on 10/6.

I'm off to FloydFest tomorrow and with the exception of cameras, I am reducing my electronic leash footprint to near zero for a week. I will probably get stomped in the Forum "Jerry's Kids" Fantasy Baseball this week.

This is the most interesting FF lineup I've seen. Unlike past FFs, this one has very few bands I've listened too, much less seen. From some You Tube rabbit holing, I am looking forward to seeing Thievery Corporation, London Souls and Ray Lamontagne.

Buddy Guy, Ziggy, Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite will no doubt deliver the goods. Lauryn Hill is headlining one night - I've heard that she has been putting on some great shows at fests all summer. Since she's on parole, we know she's going to be on her best behavior. I'm curious to see how that set goes down.

Tauk blew the place up last year and have a big stage set. But every year, there's a band(s) I've never heard of that knocks my socks off.

I'll do a recap sometime in August........
